Roman waterproof jacket now costs £30 – and it’s ideal for holidays

Fashionistas on the hunt for a chic yet budget-friendly waterproof jacket to tackle Britain’s unpredictable summer downpours are in luck. Roman has cut the price of its ‘lightweight’ rain-resistant hooded jacket by an impressive 45% for a limited time.

The must-have piece, which initially went for £55, is now a steal at merely £30, available in the ever-versatile shades of classic black and delicate pale pink. Ranging from size eight to 20, this stylish and practical waterproof boasts a hood and two handy front pockets.

Marketed as ideal for spring and summer wear, Roman suggests that it’s the perfect addition to any outfit, instantly making a casual T-shirt and jeans combination or a cute dress ready for the rain.

As an alternative, Regatta also offers the Women’s Hamara IV Waterproof Jacket, currently available at half its original price, a great deal at only £40. Provided in an impressive array of 11 colours, it caters to sizes from eight to 26.

On the other hand, New Look offers its Cream Unlined Shower Resistant Rain Coat with a decent 37% knocked off the price. Now costing £25, this coat is available in sizes 6 through 18, although it is only offered in one hue, according to Devon Live.

Testimonials for Roman’s Black Rain Resistant Hooded Jacket couldn’t be more positive, with a thoroughly satisfied patron exclaiming: “A great jacket. It’s a lovely, lightweight jacket made from a soft material, and it’s also rainproof. I am very pleased with it.”

Another chuffed shopper shared: “My daughter chose this for a present and is pleased with it. It’s quite soft for a waterproof and is a nice style. It fits very well.”

One thrilled buyer commented: “Good to get a coat that mentions rain rather than showerproof,” and praised the value, saying, “Good price. Excellent fit.”

Yet, there was a hint of disappointment from a patron who voiced their displeasure with the pink waterproof jacket: “The colour was very pale and draining. Not for me. The sleeves were also too long for me. If it were in petite and different colours, I would have ordered a different colour as the style was nice.”

But someone else piped up: “I love this jacket. It is light enough to wear in warmer weather but so useful for our changeable weather.” And another user added: “Useful for summer holidays.”
