Charlotte Tilbury make-up has been applied to some major celebrity faces over the years, including George Clooney’s wife Amal, who famously wore their Pillow Talk lipstick on her wedding day. Legions of Hollywood A-listers, from Zendaya to Sienna Miller, have endorsed the beauty brand, which just released its Unreal collection.
Charlotte herself was Amal’s make-up artist for her wedding, using an epic 14 products on her face to create a glam look to walk down the aisle in. Zendaya used a separate 14 for the Spider-Man: Brand New Day film premiere, which she attended with boyfriend and co-star Tom Holland.
So I was excited, to say the least, when I got the chance to try the brand’s latest collection. Comprised of an Unreal Skin Sheer Glow Tint hydrating foundation stick, a blush stick, nectar oil for the lips and highlighter, the collection is perfect for achieving a dewy, summer glow.
Something about using a foundation and blush stick rather than a cream just felt lighter on my face – although I had a full-coverage finish, it didn’t feel like I’d slathered too much cream on myself in the scorching weather.
The Unreal collection really is perfect for summer. I went for a shade slightly bronzer than my usual foundation colour, which gave my cheeks and face a sun-kissed glow. The only issue, I found, is finding the right shade to add contour with, as you’ll likely have to go a couple of shades darker than usual.
The Airbrush Flawless Finish pressed powder is enough to mattify the skin and get rid of any unwanted oily patches.
Am I now a Charlotte Tilbury convert? Yes. Might I bankrupt myself trying to afford their new products? Also yes.
