Megadeth confirm farewell tour with tickets and presale this week | Music | Entertainment

Metal icons Megadeth have confirmed a brand new tour is taking place next year in the UK. The rock geniuses behind ‘Holy Wars… The Punishment Due’ and ‘Symphony of Destruction’ have announced their upcoming arena tour, ‘Breakout: Hibernation of the Nations’ will kick off in March, acting as a farewell tour for the historic band. And they have some massive shows lined up, as well.

Megadeth will make their way to the UK on March 11, 2027, when they will play at London’s Wembley Arena. From there, they’ll continue to play some of the country’s biggest arenas, including Nottingham’s Motorpoint Arena, Manchester’s Co-op Live and Glasgow’s OVO Hydro. The band’s frontman Dave Mustaine said this is more of a “celebration” than a “goodbye”, though. Thankfully, there are plenty of ways to buy tickets in the coming days, and we’ve got all the details below, including some presale information.

Megadeth are holding a few different presale events, with the next one beginning on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 10am. This comes from Live Nation and will be exclusively available to subscribers of the My Live Nation newsletter. Thankfully, anyone can sign up and gain access, all one has to do is click here and enter their details. Then, buy tickets using the link below:

The next and final presale event comes from Spotify and begins on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 12pm midday. This presale event is a little different, however. While tickets will be available through Ticketmaster, the major events website states: “Available to Spotify subscribers. Eligible fans must access this sale from the link in the email sent from Spotify with a valid presale code.” As a result, fans are encouraged to ‘like’ Megadeth on Spotify and hold out hope for an email. Then, the tickets can be bought below.

Shortly after these presale events, Megadeth tickets will be released on general onsale.

Dave Mustaine has spoken candidly about the band’s upcoming farewell tour: “This isn’t about saying goodbye. It’s about celebrating everything we’ve built together over the last four decades. Every city has its own story, every crowd has given us unforgettable memories, and we want to come back to celebrate that with the fans who made it all possible.

“When we started talking about this tour, we wanted it to be a true celebration of metal. Black Label Society and Testament are bands we have tremendous respect for, and having them join us makes these shows even more special. This lineup represents decades of heavy music, and it’s going to be an incredible night for the fans.”
