Back in 2014, Wes Anderson directed an impressive 17-actor ensemble cast in The Grand Budapest Hotel. Mainly set in 1932, the film follows Ralph Fiennes as Monsieur Gustave H, the concierge of a mountainside resort in the fictional European country of Zubrowka.
When Gutstave H is framed for the murder of Tilda Swinton’s wealthy dowager, he and bellhop Zero (Tony Revolori) set off in search of a priceless Renaissance painting. They’re joined by co-stars F Murray Abraham, Adrien Brody, Willem Dafoe, Saoirse Ronan, Edward Norton, Mathieu Amalric, Jeff Goldblum, Harvey Keitel, Tom Wilkinson, Jude Law, Bill Murray, Jason Schwartzman, Owen Wilson and Léa Seydoux.
Nominated for nine Oscars, including Best Picture, the Wes Anderson modern classic is now considered one of the greatest films of the 21st century.
The last day to watch The Grand Budapest Hotel on Netflix UK is August 11.
