2 killed after cargo plane in Hong Kong veers off runway

Two airport security officers in Hong Kong were killed early Monday after a cargo jet arriving from Dubai veered off the runway during landing and slammed into a patrol vehicle, authorities said.

The Boeing 737 – in what was Hong Kong’s worst airport disaster in decades – ended up partly submerged in the water, though all four crew members on board managed to escape unharmed.
