Jones Road launches eyeliners that rival Victoria Beckham’s pencil

Jones Road has expanded its eye makeup range with the launch of a new brown shade, giving shoppers a more affordable alternative to one of Victoria Beckham Beauty’s bestselling eyeliners. Now, The Best Pencil in the shade espresso is up for grabs for £24.

The rich brown hue closely resembles the popular Cocoa shade of the Victoria Beckham Satin Kajal Liner, which retails for £33. The new launch taps into the growing demand for softer brown eyeliners, offering beauty fans an everyday shade that’s easy to wear.

The new espresso shade is now available in both Jones Road’s Best Pencil and Gel Liner (£30), offering two different finishes depending on makeup styles. The deep chocolate brown colour is designed to define the eyes while providing a softer, more natural alternative to traditional black eyeliner.

The pencil features a highly pigmented formula inspired by classic 1970s eyeliner pencils, updated with a modern ingredient blend. It glides smoothly along the lash line and can be worn as a crisp graphic liner or blended out for a softer, smoky finish.

The versatile formula also works well underneath eyeshadow for added depth. For those who prefer a creamier texture, the Gel Liner delivers intense colour payoff with a smooth, easy-glide application.

The water and transfer-resistant formula is designed to stay in place throughout the day while providing long-lasting definition without smudging. It is worth noting both products also come in a variety of other colours too – from black to deep purple.

Alternatively, on Debenhams there is the Estee Lauder Double Wear 24H Waterproof Gel Eye Pencil for £22.80 with the code BEAUTY5, down from its full price of £30. It comes in a variety of colours, is smudge-proof and promises 24-hour waterproof wear.

LookFantasic also has the YSL Yves Saint Laurent Lines Liberated Eyeliner 03 – a bronze shade – for £21.60, down from £27. This is a waterproof pencil eyeliner that offers up to 17 hours of ‘long-lasting wear and intense colour payoff’.

The Best Pencil has got over 7,000 reviews on Jones Road. One person said: “Goes on easily, nice shade of dark brown so it’s noticeable but not as harsh as black.”

Another called it a “great pencil”, adding: “This is a perfect eye pencil- not at all gummy- does not smear- stays exactly where you put it and easy to manipulate how much or how little you want to apply.” A third person wrote: “Classic liner pencil yet improved without the unnecessary gimmicky stuff.

“Adaptable to create different looks. It excels to use for a natural, everyday liner to polish a natural look.”

Some shoppers removed a star, for example this person said: “This is my second pencil and I really like it but you do have to keep it sharpened.” Another wrote: “It doesn’t give me the coverage I like underneath my lashes or on my bottom eyelashes.”
