Morrisons launches promo offering customers up to £51 savings on food shop | Personal Finance | Finance

Morrisons is giving shoppers another way to cut the cost of their weekly grocery bill after launching a new online promotion aimed at first-time customers. The supermarket is offering savings of up to £51 across a shopper’s first four online grocery orders, with the deal available until August 31.

The supermarket’s latest welcome offer gives new shoppers £15 off their first online grocery order when they spend £60 or more, followed by £12 off each of their next three qualifying orders. To claim the initial discount, customers need to enter the code newhere15 at the online checkout. The offer is available to new Morrisons online grocery customers and is due to run until 11.59pm on August 31 from July 10.

To unlock the full £51 saving, shoppers must spend at least £60 on each of the four qualifying orders. The minimum spend excludes delivery charges and carrier bag fees.

Customers will receive the £12 discount code for their next three shops by email within seven days of placing their first order, provided they have opted in to receive marketing emails. The code can then be used up to three times within two months of the initial purchase.

The promotion is open to UK residents aged 18 and over who are using the online grocery service for the first time. Only one discount is available per household.

However, there are several exclusions. The vouchers cannot be used to purchase items including alcohol, tobacco, pharmaceuticals, lottery tickets, stamps, gift cards, infant formula, mobile top-ups or delivery charges.

The offer is also not valid on orders placed through Morrisons Now, the supermarket’s rapid delivery service.

Morrisons says voucher codes must be entered at the time of checkout, with discounts unable to be applied retrospectively. The supermarket also reserves the right to withdraw or amend the promotion where necessary or where fraud is suspected.

The latest incentive comes as supermarkets continue to compete for online grocery shoppers with introductory discounts and loyalty offers as households look for ways to reduce the cost of their weekly food shop.
